This is a horse blanket used in wedding ceremonies in Uzbekistan on the old Russian borders. This one is dated 1971 and has various items sew onto it; bells, stones, plastic toys, buttons, shells and old coins marked CCCP from various dates.
It features some wonderful sewing and a fascinating mixture of vintage fabrics - too many to capture on my camera really. If you'd like more photos just let me know. I could find one small rip or hole (see photo) a couple of coins missing.
Because of the eclectic, patchwork nature of this item, it's very difficult to see if anything is missing but overall it seems in very good condition and very little losses. Approximately 208cm long x 166cm wide. Please look carefully at the photos and ask questions if you like.
